Amethyst Geode Drop Earrings

14K yellow gold earrings with two pairs of mini amethyst geodes and faceted ametrines in the center.

These miniature geodes are known as "Tabasco" geodes and originate from Tabasco, Mexico.  Geodes are rocks that appear unassuming on the outside and once opened reveal caves of quartz crystals on the inside.

Ametrines are a bi-color quartz (half amethyst half citrine) .

Wrapped in 14k yellow gold, these settings are completely hand-fabricated. The handmade settings follow the shape of the stones exactly to ensure greater security.

White geodes are placed on the top, with ametrines in the middle, and lavender-toned glittering purple geodes at the bottom. The two-toned nature of the ametrine brings together both the white and purple geodes, creating a striking statement earring.
